Care for People with Disabilities
In our care services, we assist individuals with various disabilities.
We work to facilitate and support our clients in managing the practical aspects of everyday life. The goal is to help them achieve as independent a life as possible.
We have a work team of experienced and competent staff, and you will receive a varied and developing assignment.
We are now looking for a new employee for our mobile housing support service in Slite. We offer you a flexible job with challenges and eventful days. As an employee within Region Gotland, you also get time for wellness or wellness benefits.
Your Responsibilities
As a support assistant/housing assistant, you will work with your colleagues to support clients in achieving increased independence and participation in society. We provide individually tailored support based on individual needs. We value self-determination and integrity in our residents' own homes, which permeates the staff's approach and working methods. It is a responsible job from a pedagogical perspective.
We work with IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus) as a foundation, and the role includes case management. This means you will be responsible for working with, for example, implementation plans, contact with relatives, and coordinating LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons), HSL (Health and Medical Services Act), and SOL (Social Services Act) interventions.
Currently, we work on a 10-week schedule, with work every other weekend and have 32 days off during a ten-week period. Our working hours usually vary between 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM.
Who Are You?
We prefer that you have completed a secondary education focused on care and nursing, child and leisure, or are trained as a social pedagogue and/or personal assistant. You are confident in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as all communication and documentation is conducted in Swedish. You are accustomed to and feel comfortable documenting and recording. A driving license for manual transmission is required, as well as the ability to cycle.
It is an advantage if you have previously worked in care for people with disabilities and have experience with challenging behavior and low-arousal responses. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience/knowledge of scheduling and the planning tool Intraphone.
As a person, you have a high sense of service and a genuine interest in working with people. You are self-assured, have good judgment, and the ability to build good relationships. You have a good understanding of people's different circumstances and can quickly change your approach and adapt to different situations.
You also need to have good collaboration skills and the ability to work in a structured manner to ensure quality. We expect that you share LSS intentions regarding a humanistic view of people, values, and good treatment.
Selection for interviews is ongoing, so please submit your application today!
